What is a pack burro race?

We run with the donkey (no riding) over the river and through the woods while it carries a small pack saddle. Most of the races are in Colorado on mining roads and single track trail.

Where can I find out more?

The Western Pack Burro Association directs most of the races in Colorado, and the Rio Grande Mule and Donkey Association here in New Mexico hopes to start hosting races in 2020.

There are many races in Colorado to choose from and burro rentals available. But hurry, they fill up fast!

How do I get involved?

You are welcome to contact us to accompany us on any of our training runs or we are able to go out with different clubs for a small fee.

The runs consist of walking, hiking, and running because as you find out, its up to the burro!
